The close up of a gravestone was a must.
They were an eyecatch and a symbol of time with all the lichens and moss and its impressive textures.
Thanks for your interest and all appreciated comments! ;o)

northern cemeteries are surely way better than catholic ones: there is peace and memories, here is only pain and incapacity of accepting death. isnt it?
Impressive composition, I really like the way you used your flash to enhance the detail in the stone; well done!

cool work...excellent job!
Very impressive indeed! Maybe even a closer shot of the many textures would have been good. But this works, espcially with the way the flash make sit jump from the background.
beautiful textures and moss! beautiful close up and the frame fits well!
It's really turned into a work of art. I bet this thing has been there a loooooooong time!
McSossy of the McSossy clan!! but of course! lovely stone you've picked out for yourself :] luv the frame too
When one thinks of it, lichens can only grow one inch in ten years or more. Certainly thought provoking when viewing this grave marker. Nice to see you used a fill flash to seperate the tones on this image. V
This must be old!!!Excellent shot!!
