Description
I'm new to Poser and 3D art and could use a critique. I feel that this image is missing something. I just created it today, and it's a work in progress.
I used Daz's Conforming Mertail, Quarker's Grace Lion Hair, and Firebirz Roar. I did the rest in Paint Shop Pro 7 and Photo Shop 6.

New to poser and 3D?! I think you did a great job. The lighting is very good and I like very much that murkiness of deep water. Her pose is well done, too. Excellent.
New you say?? Well this looks pretty darn good....not sure what you feel is missing. I think it has all the proper ingredients for a dark underwater scene. The lighting is wonderful in this. Excellent job! =)

That's really beautiful and really well done! Colors and lighting are great! The right balance between reality and fantasy feel :-) If you feel something is missing you can try a little modification with same elements that are all perfect. Why not try less large and more vertical, I mean adding a little more background above the mermaid to put the light a little higher and more above her, then probably put her a little higher above the weeds and move the weeds of the right more to the center and crop to have the pic less large and give it that vertical feel you might miss. Just a suggestion though. Looking forward to seeing more of your works ...
