Description
An update on my modeling of a powered parafoil ultralight craft.
These are probably one of the few aircraft that can be assembled and operated with minor technical knowhow and costs under $20,000. Maybe even under $10,000 if you know where to look.
This is probably a good deal as most aircraft are priced above $50,000, and even an old Cessna is about $80,000 to $100,000.

I was really excited by the Austrian Rotax until some valve gear failures drove it away to Bermuda and bankruptcy. Now today all is still on the airport again and such a delicate flower can float on the wind. My bugaboos are Gilmer belts and Boudoin cables not v-belts and linkages. The vehicl is much more rich now that it has ben scaled to a Poser figure. He is probably a veteran in his 70's who built it but he has a friend who is an avid young athlete and free spirit. Come to think of it they are one and the same just time has passed and then inverted. I met the Paracommander in 1965 and saw it with the Marines at El Toro in 1976. Major E???? and Neil Ellis, from El Centro parachute center, were my guides.
Under $10,000? Heck, gimme a used lawnmower some PVC pipes and a roll of duct tape.
What no seat belt... :-) Nice work....!!!
Man you make some cool models.. wow, the detail here. Excellent stuff!!
