Description
The continuing adventures of the Smiley Faces from Outer Space picks up where two Smiley Faces have found and awoken a resident of a place of "non-Euclidean madness" below the depths of the Pacific Ocean.
For anyone not familiar with the work of the master Horror writer H.P. Lovecraft; Cthulhu was an elder alien being powerful enough to seem like a god and the ultimate in horror.
In the words of Lovecraft: "It seemed to be a sort of monster, or symbol representing a monster, of a form which only a diseased fancy could conceive. If I say that my somewhat extravagant imagination yielded simultaneous pictures of an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature, I shall not be unfaithful to the spirit of the thing. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings; but it was the general outline of the whole which made it most shockingly frightful."
I have taken some liberties with that description, the general image, and personality of Cthulhu.
Next week: Cthulhu meets Mecha-Smiley...
