Now that is close! I love the clarity, dof and colors of this Danny. It amazes me how close you got to this guy without him flying off. He's definitely larger than life. This butterfly is actually very beautiful and I'm not a huge bug/insect person. lol.
Wow, whats the lens, a macro sigma or what ? Super clean and such a perfect focus.
Oh my, what big eyes you have! A wonderful macro photo. Every little detail is wonderful and so sharp.

I like this alien. Fantastic capture !!!
so passionate and sensual just kissing the leaf, stunning even down to the little hairs upon the leaf superb shot :) vote
wow, this is a FANTASTIC macro shot you share with us here. YOu are truely an amazingly talented photographer, .. this is some fantastic detail you reveal in such a shot.. as also said above makes one think of alien places, with alien creatures not like anything we know.. and then it is just a butterfly. Fascinating how you wake something deep inside with such a picture. This is excellent! Vote
Impressive "alien" !
Danny that eye is truly amazing. Also a bit evil looking, but fascinating nonetheless. Do you have to use anything other than the standard macro lens to get these shots? I've seen extension tubes for sale, but don't really understand what they're for... Cheers Steve.
pure perfection!
