Description
An alcove in a rocky cliff in the Mt Diablo area, where there are many interesting formations. This type of eroded sandstone is called tafoni, and the S.F. Bay Area is one of the best places in the world for finding it. Some of the tafoni is laced and some is simply buttery.
The soft light brought out harmonies between the textures... all I had to do was crop.
