Description


This piece was inspired by a freelance work I did last fall, in real life, capture a still life of golf ball that is dropped into a glass full of water. Using a DSLR Canon EOS 1D Mark II, wide angle lenses, and correct lighting I had to capture a frozen in time still of a water splash as the golf ball hits the water. At 1/8000th of sec you can pretty much nearly freeze a bullet. Many shots were taken before the right one was selected. In any case I took my work and translated into 3D using pain-staking modeling in MAX [POLY] and render using Mental Ray. Enjoy!!!

Nice liquid effect! Looks more like the chisled ice carve... Maybe you can add some post work of radial blur. Well done!
