Description

This is a test rendering for the new product I am currently working on: MarbleMATs for Vue 4, 5, and Pro. I have had a blast developing these, but I'd love to have some feedback to know if some more trained eyes out there like what you see or have any suggestions for improvements. Vue 4 on a Mac; no postwork :-).

Some great materials here. The brighter designs work well on smaller objects (i.e. chess pieces) or bigger objects along with gold / silver / bronze trim (i.e. candle sticks, pots, knick knacks). The strong, rich colours are OK for surreal / alien landscapes with a little reduction in reflectivity. But my favouries are the paler designs especially the understated "grey granite" marbles which, for architectural features like columns / fountains / alters are darn near perfect. A little twewkaing is needed to get the scale right for the object but that's true of all materials. Using the materials extends rendering times noticeably but the quality of the results is worth the extra rendering time.

I really like the reflective glossiness of that off-white one on the left side! I'll echo what BGFT said above, that the stronger colors like the dark green above have a more surreal quality to them that might keep me from using them as often, but all in all, based on what I've seen in this promo this would be a pack I would get a lot of use out of.
