im not really a big fan of star trek. sorry to say. but besides that. it does look good... maybe some more shadowing and the explosion change. like have the sonic boom that comes out in most space movies. anyway. keep up the good work.
I've tried to retain some semblance with the original series. This particular instance in the episode was viewed from the Enterprise bridge as a flash of light which was animated over some old footage from the Doomsday Machine episode. A sonic boomed explosion wasn't something we'd have seen in the original episdodes nor have we seen it used prolifically in the later Trek series (maybe the fire ball isn't something we'd have seen either). In any case, the explosion is something new and interesting. I'm trying to recreate some of the more critical moments in the original series history that we didn't get to see very well or that we didn't to see at all.
I'm a big ST fan and always doing sim stuff. This is very good Kixum. Also like how you have little bits of the hull floating away from the explosion. Nicely done.
The explosion parts from the ship were really easy. It's just a polyhedron primitive that I used an explosion deformor on. I didn't actually perturb my original model at all.
it would be great to see the ENTERPRISE in the backround
