Description
Took a trip to a Botanical Garden yesterday, to find peace, two of the most peaceful hours I've spent in days. My son and I took pictures of all kinds of flowers and green, and then went outside and photographed the building. It was so nice to get lost even if just for a little while. Nature has an amazing way of healing a soul.

good to know you're alright !! Looks like the sun was shining yesterday, I'm glad you and your son had these peaceful hours. And I love the flowers in that picture (there called Impatience in german) : )
jay, thank you.....I came home after taking all these pictures, and forgot the names of the flowers....either a sign of old age or stress LOL
such peaceful and beautiful.....I adore this one.
<=== flower freak. oohhh i love the shading and shadows in this!!
mmm a real beauty. Love the way the light reflects off the leaves.
What a gorgeous photograph! hugs
I love the lighting and the contrast between the soft petals and the rough concrete.
The words are very of agreement with what represents this picture, the close-up of flowers and plants it is a very exciting topic, here you had used a clear brown color, what gives to the work a memory climate, and as you she says to contemplate to the flowers he/she always gives a lot of peace, technical and artistically it is an excellent work, since the approach always spreads to that not all the details leave in focus, but in this picture you him had achieved perfectly.
Oh yes! I agree with Rodolfo totally. The light and shadow - relief and softness.... it does somehow combine perfectly to bestow a certain grace. Thank you very much. This was a much needed balm
I am so grateful that you both found some peace in the mayhem of the aftermath you have all been suffering. Exquisite imagery. hugs
hmmm, only word that comes to my mind is, elegance. The bright leaf in upper corner breaks pattern and leaves you bit confused, and I like it.
I love the lighting and the gentle shadows in this photograph! It is absolutely beautiful!
Quite potent , shadow work is exceptional
Outstanding - you are a great artist

"Nature has an amazing way of healing a soul." Truer words are rarely spoken, Syyd. I'm glad you've found some peace in this horrible time. This is a beautiful photograph.
Tell me there's minimal post-work here, and I won't feel so inferior. Excellent photo Syyd.
thats bad ass syyd
gotta love that Coolpix 880 ;-)
Cygnus Anne- you always find a way to make me feel calm and serene in spite of what's going on in my life (read: constipation). This reminds me of the botanicals used in, nudge nudge, Absinthe. xoxoxo-monkey
wonderful, could stare for hours at this
This is so Poetic!! Absolutely wonderful!! :)
I have these flowers growing at home but have never been able to figure out how to capture their image well... this is lovely!..Di
