It's been some time I wanted to do portraits in XD. This is the first one, the model is Lieselot IJsendoorn, a brilliant Dutch media-artist and a very close friend. You can explore her work at
http://www.ijsendoorn.com/
I'm beginning to feel guilty about not having the time to comment or even visit the fractal gallery. I don't like one way streets ... But the good news is that we will have a new driver at the animalshelter by the end of the month. Then I can resume my normal work rhythm and will be able again to follow all of your works. Have a nice sunday(evening) everyone!!!

Wow! This program in the hands of a true explorer really is the most incredible producer of shapes I have ever seen! Excellent! (=
very impressive portrait.you really use xd well, never thought it makes portraits. well done dirk.
This is so beautifully made! It has excellent backdrop!
I like the manner in which the grid layers are placed on top of each other and all at different angles relative to each other . They form an interesting and firm foundation to the wonderful portrait ! Excellent work , Dirk !

Very beautiful!,outstanding artwork!!*V
Interesting image. I like the background and colors and subtle use of the picture.
the mesh has such intricate details and the red/gold parts create a very beautiful portrait
the mesh could almost be a burlap background - a very nice contrast to the elegant and modern yin-yang
Excellent interpretation! I especially like the metal grid in the background!
Absolutely beautiful work.
Excellent, as usual, Dirk. You are so good at making XD do what you want it to, which is far from easy.
So much detail, perfect!
