Piezoelectricity is electricity made by applying pressure to a crystal, often quartz. Chalcedony is a precious gem, also a form of quartz. So it looks to me like Ruthee has made us a gem from which we can draw some power, or at least a bit of inspiration. :-) Ruthee, I hope I haven't stepped on your toes with my explanation.
