Description
The Varigated Mountain Unicorn (Unicornis maculosus montanus) shows the same complex coat patterns as its more common desert cousin, the High-stepping Varigated Unicorn (Unicornis maculosus), however, the colors are muted. Native people living in the area claim this rare unicorn has a fierce nature but some reseachers think that they are mistaking its flamboyant gaits and showy mating behavior for aggression. Both stallions and mares will put on dazzling displays in the early spring.

To those who wish I would go back to rendering human rather than equine studs, I apologize, but my muse is firmly in an equine mood right now.

Gorgeous work! Equines work for me (but not as well as humans, I must admit!). LOL! hugs Isha

Why, oh why can't you be doing illustrations for WotC's D20 Monster Manuals? It would be fantabulous!
