Description
I modeled this the other day and am quite pleased with how it has turned out. It is not heavily armed because it is not a fighter ship ;) It's for deep space communications hence the long "spine" and general pointyness. Nicknamed "The Snake" due to it's long narrow size, it has a build time of approximately 10 hours and consists of just under 300,000 polygons which ain't too bad. The rows of squares on the right in the bottom image are windows which I did not model in (going to eventually texture them instead).
Comments and suggestions welcome, and thank you for looking! :)

You should be pleased, it's very cool. Nice work.
Very nice ship, from the design school of The Earth Alliance (Babylon 5) if I'm not mistaken. When can we see the ship in its native habitat?
Fabulous modelingwork in Rhino i come not further then a few vase ,s :-) Wonderfull and my vote for it
Lovely details!!
Thank you for the wonderful comments everyone! :D @MarkHirst: I will try to build some attack ships taking this thing out on the edge of a blue planet just so I can experiment with photoshopping special effects. I can let you know when it's up of it you like. Again, thanks for the comments everyone! Sorry it took so long to get back to you :)
Very beautiful work........
Like the hard, black and white rendering and the detail. It could be anything really, couldn't it ;-) Which makes it all the more interesting!
Thank you again for the comments :) I'm sorry you don't like the model Reledom, but sometimes less is more. The commands you use to make a model have nothing to do with the quality of the modelling itself. If something can be done only using a few commands why bother making it more difficult for oneself? As for the software not being effectively used, I think that is open to debate. Whether or not the software is effectively used rests on if you are able to model what you set out to model, otherwise, tough luck. Still, I appreciate the comment, though unconstructive.
What an original design! I like how you added the midsection like an antennea array, very clever. Keep up the great work man.
Lovely ship and lovely idea, very well executed. I like you style sir, very cool.
Wonderful modelling here. Love the way you presents your work giving a real good feeling for the work and how it can be applied. Top notch :-) Exlt work
Nice grand space opera ship. It looks like a skeletal fish in shape. Nice!
Thanks for your comments! :D @Z: I had originally built this with the idea of entering it into the CGTalk Space Opera challenge, but then I realized I had no idea how to texture it or render it, and so the idea was never realized. Since I've been experimenting with Cinema 4D though, perhaps it will be revisited soon.
