Bueatiful shot, what a outstanding soft texture on the feathers, what a wonderful capture...........V.John
The quality of this shot is exceptionnal. We've got some places like this in France where we can see all kind of birs of prey. The one I prefered was a place where birds were unchained only during visiting hours, to avoid any accident with tourists. The rest of the day, birds were free to fly and go where-ever they wanted. For any of them, they were just going for a round and then they were used to come back "home". Please, tell me that it's the same for the place you've seen!
He seems a bit shackled. Those big wings cannot seek the rodent in the night. I've seen one up close in the Denver Natural History Museum courtyard being demonstrated. I cannot remember how or if it was restrained.
That is one of the prettiest owls I've seen in a long time. A most wonderful capture.
