Description
And so he thought, of the storm, that raged the night before,
And of the men, whose lives were gone, within this cavern store,
Of Polyphemus, the one-eyed son, Posidon's offspring one,
And of the men, that he consumed, at the rising of the sun.
And soon that eye, gleaming red, this night be rendered dark,
And that mind be made so drunk that the stake be driven stark,
Into that orb, that in their haste to steal beneath the bleeting sheep,
That all his men shall leave this isle their lives more days to keep.
