Description
"The blow of the knight's mace had shattered the crown, breaking the undead lords power. Without Zrie's prodigious will driving them onward, the skeleton army became a disorganized and directionless rabble. By the early afternoon, the battle had been won and the undead army dispersed. As the crows gathered overhead, it was time for the survivors to count the cost of their victory."

EDIT - This paragraph was going to be put on the final image in the series - but there's a 4096 character limit... so here it is on this image -> This series has used some free items made by John Malis (the skeleton texture in the last few images) and Bloodsong (the skeletal horse that appeared in a few images in the series). wow, over a year on this story and you're drawing to a close. I apparently missed the entire story, so I had to page through your gallery. All I have to say is wow. I'm getting chills down my spine.
