I started this drawing months ago but haven't bothered to finish it off. It is still quite rough but I thought I would post this anyway. Life is short, so I will share it with those who I know will appreciate it.

Went to the Tamara de Lempicka exhibition at the Royal Academy in London back in the summer (twice!) ~ it was stunning. You've certainly captured her style and mood : hope you'll complete it and post the finished work.

Well, I'll be... "The Girls"! A bit more sinister looking than in the original, but still AMAZING... Wow, Matt - I had no idea you were THIS good at painting. I'm very impressed and just a tiny bit jealous... :) I love your image and I love Lempicka (Tamara, not just Lolita :D) I even had her "Sleeping Woman" hanging in my bedroom... Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! I forgot to mention, the original is about 2 by 3 feet. Done in conte on black bristle-board. My lens was relatively wide-angled so it warped the image a little.
