Night time, time for the hunt for food. Food depends on who you be.. For some it is veggies, for others it is flesh.. The scene is set. Still air, 1000 stars. Moon is at quarter, but gives a light. A Haunting light, making the landscape eerie and ready for the nights business. A canyon that used to have a stream still draws some creatures in eternal hope that water will flow again. The canyon now belongs to drought plants that choke the land. 2 wild Burros go about thier business knowing there is nothing big enough to bother them. 2 skunks also are not worried. A coyote spots the Rattle Snake, he senses danger but doesn't know for what. The rabbit freezes thinking it can fool the snake. It bunches up trying to make itself look bigger, hoping the snake will think the same. The Snake isn't hungry, just startled. Maybe this rabbit is lucky tonight. Another rabbit spots the coyote and makes like granite, not moving, hoping. Over looking the whole scene is a Desert Cat. Will he wait for the coyote or even the snake. He knows the skunks are there, but doesn't care and the Burros are to big. The snake will be the easiest prey for him. A rugged rough unforgiving canyon. A hard life for the ones that live here.. A scene repeated night after night and Eon after Eon in this same Canyon. Death by night and Beauty by day.. VP and PSP for post work
