Marvelous colours and spiraling perspectives! :P
I'm choosing at random (this is page 300 of your gallery!) because it's hard to study every image singly. But these early fractals are all vivid and fascinating. This feels almost like paint, you got real stroke-like lines and blobs here. (A number of your fractals from this period feel that way.) I love the splashes of saturated greens and yellows, and the mixes with reds and blues and whites: They have an oil quality to me. It looks like a horn-of-plenty, and it's against this shale/muddy seashore background, filled with resonant waves (I like the background). Your color sense is very vivid, like fireworks. A very painterly 'whoosh' of an image. (You must look at these now, and think how primitive fractal software was in 2004. I wouldn't know, but it must seem prehistoric compared with today's...)
