Description
Here's a photo of my Corvette I took two weeks ago at a local car show. It's what is referred to as a C1 or first generation Corvette.
C1 - 1953-1962
C2 - 1963-1967
C3 - 1968-1982
* No Corvette in 1983
C4 - 1984-1996
C5 - 1997-2004
C6 - 2005
* No Corvette was made in 1983 as GM opted to release the C4 as a early model 1984 instead of an early model 1983.

Of course you are correct, but no 1983 Vette was made for the public. A 1983 prototype was made for the show circuit...

The next to the last of the 283's. It looks much cleaner than the 1958. I can't quite understand why the 1953 is grouped with the 1962 except they all had the 1954 king pin chassis. The earlier bodies are distinct. Congratulations on your win. It must have been the hint of Scarab in the wheels.
