Description
The Reichstag in Berlin. Seat of German parliament since 1999.
I found this building to be most impressive. The sheer size is awe enspiring. The people in front of the building really show the size. The line to get in to visit the glass dome on top was way too long for me to wait. Maybe next time I'll visit the top :)

It is true about the size. It is very deceiving when looked only through photographs, even with the people in the photo. It is massive. Just like St. Peter's in the Vatican. This is a great shot.

Nice shot. You have to get up early to be one of the first of the waiting people. One hour waiting is quite normal here.
They've done such a great job over the past half-century to restore this building, it's hard to realize this is the same bombed out, blasted out, graffiti splattered, blackened shell of a building you see after the Russians captured the city in May, 1945. It's amazing they just didn't rip it down. It really is one of the most beautiful buildings left in Europe.
