Description
It is a crucible, recently at about 1100c or near 2000f. Hot stuff. We all have our crucible to form or redefine or be ignored.

NOTE ON THE CRUCIBLE An image in "itself" will convey some feeling, people will like, dislike or find it neutral. To some, a piece of imagination will say more. I see this crucible as a large thing, an entity. In the "image" shown here, I do not see the actual, functional crucible but do see a dream of sorts in my imagination. From the technical view, this is nothing more than a ceramic crucible used in casting gold by centrifuge. Some of the reasons for a bad cast by my coworker are seen in the crucible. The crucible is seen as a "small part" at this link showing the casting in progress : http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12379&Form.ShowMessage=1937286 Blessings and Peace. TomDart.
Ohh - this is art at its best when it makes you look up meanings to words in the dictionary to help better define the artwork! --- Crucible:"a place or situation in which concentrated forces interact to cause or influence change or development." --- When I first viewed the image it reminded me of decay - something dying! ----yet, that wonderful touch of blue in the center, gave the image hope of new life!--- Wonderful imagery!
