I was very moved this morning by a photo of two children, sisters, laid out in their coffins, victims of the school hostage crisis in Beslan.I have spent a great amount of time in Russia and I know how much children are beloved in the entire culture, none like I have ever witnessed.Of course children are loved in every culture but there is something special about it in Russia.I have fashioned this knot to resemble an Orthodox Cross, unraveled at the edges.I found many beautiful crosses but this one seemed to express the grief and horror that is being experienced. My thoughts are also with Floridians today as the storm rages on,especially the elderly.
Thanks for viewings and comments on my new work.

I was very touched by the cross, and the dedication. This is very moving and beautiful.
What a gorgeous cross Chris befitting both causes. Such a tragedy in Russia and for those in Florida especially those who lost their lifes. **
