My mighty friend,
here we are:
the sky's yours,
for me to ride it.
Your noble back will be my seat,
your flaming breathe
will be my weapon.
We're the warriors
that will keep safe
the world below,
so let's be brave:
no fears of falling,
and open eyes,
we'll have our battles
we'll have our troubles...
In you I put my trust in full,
I know you ain't gonna let
nobody hurt
nor me, nor anyone
of those down there
who watch above
with confidence.
Those people
good,
our frajile friends,
feel in their core
we're fightin there
to keep protectin their days
of love,
lettin them free
to live their lives
with hopes of peace
and towns with flowers,
while up for us
there are wild ridings...

Painted in Photoshop 7, starting with a blank scratch, with mouse only. 7 hours of work aprox..
Dedicated to Elfenone :) Hope I did nicely enough to please your challengin task :) Kiss :)
-----------------------
This is sort of new for me: new is the subject, that I never properly tried before (I love fantasy, but it's not really my realm), new is the style, kind cartoonish, and hopefully although I reckon is so basic effort I am hoping my trial will please you.
As I wrote this was a request from Elfenone, to try to take part at the Dragon stuff contest (don't know really if I will enter... as I said this is very , too very basic piece for any contest).
My time is always very limited so I had to complete this quicker than I was hoping for.
Basically, I spent yesterday to make it and today I just put some final touch while I was relaxing in the countryside.
It's hard to do something neat with no tablet! Mouse isn't really the best way to create this (or maybe it's just that I am crap ;)) but I came up with something at least.
It was a really nice way to experiment new horizon journey :)
Thank you sweet lady, for pushing me at this :)
Hugs to everyone, Meli :)

Fantastic image! The coloring and painting.. Excellent!!!
This rocks, Meli - I really love your comics style :))) Those different textures are most original. Bravo.
Wow! In Photoshop?! With just a mouse?! In 7 hours?! You have far more talent than you realize - well done!
Yeah. Now this is a dragon lady that I can dig. Excellent pic
"Crap".. oh hardly. This is fascinating and please mouse your way through many more of these. It has such a wonderful warm and fairy tale feel to it.
Very beautiful image, excellently done work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your talent at creating has brought this image a long way from being crap. And considering that you did it with only a mouse, it turned out very nicely. Sometimes pushing yourself (both creatively and time wise) can produce amazing works. As is the case here!
Meli, you're just plain silly dear heart. hehe this is certainly not "crap". love it and love you!!
This is really different, but I can see your personality in it. It is amazing how you managed to do this. GReat Going~!!!!
Wow...this is one of the best pieces I've ever seen you do!!! Of course I'm crazy about fantasy art and am therefore prejudiced. I wish I had an ounce of your inspiration. Please continue with your efforts in this line as I know how gorgeous all your other works are. Your fantasy art will become nothing less than spectacular!
I am in AWE! Let me pick up my jaw from the keyboard...words are superfluous.
you got made props from me.My mouse control is no where as elegant. Did you draw the picture scan it in and then color it or did you do everthing on the computer?
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE THAT YOU HAVE CREATED DEAR MELI. WHAT PATIENCE YOU HAVE. LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING THAT WAS VERY TEDIOUS BUT WELL WORTH THE EFFORT THAT YOU'VE DONE HERE. GREAT JOB AND NICE TO SEE SOMETHING NEW FROM YOU!!!

Wow, such an amazing image! The colours are phenomenal and the whole composition is stunning. Your words and image play off each other so well and both are outstanding. This was a real pleasure to view.
