Description
Smocking as far as I'm aware is a lost art. I think I recall my mother putting some smocking on a dress she made me. I won't say how along that was. lol So, a lost art, reborn in a new art form? Sounds poetic anyway. -grin-

don't have a clue what smocking is but I will say what i like about this work is the stable mandala form and then those chaotic yellow forms that defy the order that is taking shape

Reading the comments made me smile. I am assuming that those of us that remember smocking are in the ummmmm, "mature" age group. lol Lets just say my 60th birthday is fast approaching and I remember smocking very well from my high school home ec class.
