The hair, I completely painted over the original. I'm finding this a nice way to learn hair painting.

This is beautiful. Really, really beautiful. You made me stop and think why children are special, instead of just saying "awww", which I guess would be a fair enough reaction to a lovely picture. However, your images generally go much deeper and this one is no exception. The little girl is stunningly beautiful, and the pose and expression are perfect. It tugs at my heartstrings for more reasons than I care to dwell on.

this is a really lovely image u have made here, the truth of it is all to real and sometimes not at all what really happens and how children are treated. I agree with stevie.. this should be on the walls of child's wards and anything related to the well being of our child.. they are our future.

I was once told by a very wise elderly mother in New Hampshire that children are a gift--not a right. And like a gift, they can be taken back if we do not cherish or respect the gift with our whole heart and soul. Her words stayed with me all my life and now on to the lives of my children and grandchildren.

You just get better and better. I love the old-fashioned look of this, but most of all I love the precious innocence and wonder on a child's face when she has an encounter with a hummingbird. Beautiful and heart-warming.
