Description
Back from holiday with a bunch of new photos in the basket.
We visited a place called Ferropolis one day. Here is the first photo of a couple i will post the next days/weeks.
We were in a region where they got lignite til mid of 80s. Now most is flooded, a new lake region is born.
In Ferropolis they created an open theatre for concerts and other events. As decoration they let some of the good old little machines standing around as you can see here. Impressive, i can tell you.

That is about my favorite piece of heavy machinery in the whole world; I've loved it ever since I saw a documentary about it on TV. I really enjoy good engineering, and that is one fine piece of equipment. Great photograph, it really captures the enormity of the machine, and what a fine day you picked for getting the capture. :)
