"the territory of meeting and leaving
the territory of you and me
death arrived on schedule on a
Sunday afternoon, and,
as always,
it was easier than we thought
it would be."
From "hogs in the sky", a poem by Charles Bukowski (1920-1994)

Ik vraag me af hoe lang je het nog maakt....De kleur is er al helemaal vanaf;-)))) maar een beeldig plaatje, zoals meestal!
Very unique picture and style ! Absolutely stunning !
Another nicely done image, that is a step apart. The grainy filter is such a nice addition to this one, as like the other. The colors in this are soft, but the object is clear.
How true to the words!,Absolutely beautiful artwork!!
A great presentation! The poem segment is terrific, I will have to read this in it's entirety. Great image, some truly unusual forms that realy capture my imagination and reflect the words in many ways. Excellent!
fantastic creative work .. wow.. outstanding !!! love it .. it is so excellent in design, color and texture !! vote
What a great illustration of the words, love it!
Looks like some drawing :) Excellent picture!
I really am enjoying this new technique you're using. These would be great to print out to hang on the wall. Too bad my printer's not working. lol q-: Very lovely work! Clean and crisp design! V (:

Impressive XD fractal....!! Have splendid shapes and very beautiful graphic aspect....!! Vote
Unique shapes...very cool image. I like the colors and the sandy texture you have chosen. The black outlines do make it look hand drawn. Cool!
There are so many kinds of deaths and shadows, and they are but another part of life. Evolve and survive, and a beautiful illustration of the phenomenon.
unusual shapes that shows your imagination, the words show your heart. As always a fantatic presentation
Going to have to agreee with carolsassy, love this new technique you are using, this image captures that poem very well.
I see larvae (new life) emerging from the body (carcass) of a bird and being consumed or about to consume or be consumed by a winged insect; life consuming life to stay alive another day carved in stone (a tombstone? a cardinal rule?). Even without the lovely segment of poetry, you've created visual poetry that causes the viewer to re-examine feelings and values; very powerful. This - to me - is real art and I thank you for sharing it in this medium instead of hanging it on the wall of a museum for only a few to see. I guess it's fair to say that the eternal questions torture the mind and soul eternally (but without them, where would be the fun and the mystery; without one, how could there be two?)! VOTE Rik
I really like this one, Dirk. I see some sort of insect; whatever it is, it's certainly alive.
Love the shape and the texturing looks great. -v-
Tu manipules XD d'une manie fantastique Dirk! On dirait que c'est dessin et je vois quelques choses de vivant..J'aime ton choix de couleurs. de toute fan tu as mon vote Ficitations! :)
Awesome. I love this...
WOW!!Perfect!!WOW!!
Total triple awesomeness!!! :)
We all try to be survivors in this complicated world we live in . Wonderful design !
A marvelous shape. Very interesting. Nice coloring. Yes, we are still here. The battles are both small and great, but somehow we survive. The nature of man is to survive.
Het lijkt een nieuw ruimteschip, heel fijne tekening, prachtige texture en een goed contrzst met de achtergrond!Great work!!!V
It was the texturing that first caught my eye. I really like the graininess, then the soft shades and the rounded shapes added a delicate softness to the overall picture, but those sharp points add a deadliness to this as well. A sharp clear image and the poem works so well with it. Another excellent piece from you!
Very cool and complex XD forms, Dirk - well done!
Only beatiful images, from you. The excellence continues...
