Description

What You see here is my personal free interpretation of Carlo Crivelli's Annunciation. Crivelli was a Venetian painter of 1400 century rather unknown but of great valour. He was forced to live away from his city and produced various masterpieces that remained long unknown. Among them this incredible Annunciation of Virgo Maria. Main concept of my interpretation is the extraordinary beauty of Mary that for sure was so in every aspect : because spiritual beauty transpares into external beauty so to be choosen and elevated to be Mother of Redentor. Second concept is the light that I've imagined more closer to Flemish painters. I'm personally obessed by the light of Van Eyck so the mixing was unavoidable.
