Must rank this excellent! With your skills, Nelson, bryce becomes ... maybe even useful! Fun experiments... have you tried the metaball primitives (implicit surfaces)? They'd blend together smoothly. Another thought is to use cloud textures for the electron orbitals, you could see right through'em.

very beautiful, love to see more like this ... how about some norepinephrine and dopamine? a little acetylcholine, perhaps?... ;) just a suggestion: maybe you could incorporate some neurons firing in the bg? - or a molecule trying to burst through the blood-brain barrier? you are inspiring me!
