Would like to dedicate this image to joefraq, who's amazing work with XD is a real source of inspiration for me.
For those who are interested. First made a simple and subtle cloud image in XD to use as a background. Then just one render of the main fractal, with the opacity on 9. The lighting is the standard *shaded preview*, with fine and soft used in the depth window. It does not have to be very complicated to get results ;-)
Thank you so much for viewing and all of your comments.

I don't know anything about XD but I know this is a very cool image! Congrats!! Talk about diverse imagination!
Sweet dedication and image!! :)
what an amazing beauty, I like everything about it..
Excellent! Very dreamlike, a construction of the unconscious where the resting brain tries to make sense out of the random events of the day. Wonderful colors and lighting! v
Thanx Dirk! I feel honored. :) Cool image. I love the contrast between the mist and the clean lines. Like a ghostly window peering into a clear blue sky.
Excellent fractal Dirk....!! Have a great creativity....!! Beautiful dedication....!!
Stunning XD work Dirk, this is a real beauty! V
Amazing image! The depth and detail are outstanding! A wonderful presentation and composition! :)
Excellent design and I like how the form becomes substantial/focus in the center - cool blending to the background. Excellent tribute from one to another of the finest XD artists in the world today.
I don't know how I missed this one (actually I do, to busy playing with Apo) but I can see why this is in the top 20. Stunning!
