They are ancient symbols of fertility (because of the vast number of seeds in them!). Found in the ancient & Holy Temple of Israel and allegorized in Renaissance art. A beautifully shaped fruit!

For the challenge of the month, just in time! This pomegranate, would it be the same fruit as mentioned in the bible? Did not know it still existed. Is it edible? You've made us curious :-P
