a friend's poem inspired me to create an image, and that image inspired this poem to go with it. both are here for you to see

Leap of Faith
Trust you gave away freely
And love to everybody
Betrayal you never saw
In their eyes, lurking
You gave it all
And took a leap of faith
But no one caught you
Cold shoulders were turned
Your face is but a sculpture
Of surprise and pain
There for all to see
As frozen you remain
Never again will you be hurt
Never again will you feel
