Description
Not the Arabia of Earth but of Mars. This low-lying region of the Red Planet is layered and sculpted by winds over the millenia, and possibly water in the distant past.
I have tried to depict the Martian sky accurately, and if you look closely Phobos, the inner moon lies just under the Sun.
Thanks for looking in!

Excellent terrain and POV!
Rich this is just outstanding work I feel that you got the colors just right and it is easy to see that you have done your homework on your subject. Very excellent work.
great texture work, atmos &pw?
That's an excellent render, specially terrain & layers
Phobos was the first think I noticed! Then I looked for a tiny dot of light to see if Deimos was there... Then I looked down and saw how stunningly beautiful this image is. v
The atmosphere, lighting and surface work look pretty close to perfect to me and I love the sweeping curves of the terrain - an excellent image in every respect!
what to say? imho it's simply excellent! agree with Rids...

This is a beautiful render Rich! I love the terrain, surface (looks as real as I can imagine it!), and atmosphere! Phobos is the perfect touch to this image. Bravo! V
Agree with Rids and all. Fantastic. How you illuminate so much of the terrain with the sun at this angle I will probably never figure out.
Wow stunning work! Could really pass for a photo of mars. Excellent terrain work here, and the sun is perfectly positioned and sized. Also i like the small subtle moon. Excellent!!!!!!!!

Rich...this is a tribute to Ray Bradbury who took our imagination to the Red Planet in his book: 'The Martian Chronicles'. Excellent work my friend...this image is inspirational!
