Very interesting pov, which give a feeling of move. Maybe you should try to don't have the surf effect to be so close from the shore, to avoid this triangular result.
if you don't have registered Terragen, you should resize your renders to 800x600 and apply a bit of sharpen fx
Agree with above. I like to have the water only transparent enough so that the deeper water is too dark to see the bottom. this give the impression of very deep water. And make the surfaces different below waterline and above. So some surfaces are constrained to greater than water level and some are constrained to less than.
