well, to each his own..I think Star Wars and Star Trek are equally represented (just count the light sabres..;) There is a 'conflict' subgenre called Trek Wars, where the 2 duke it out on the web and elsewhere..good planet background, and good models, but it's a tad 'busy'..you've got potential here, so keep it up..

i say hmmm because art is art. I like it and think it to be a scene which happens to be one of my favorite. but the space battles is what did it for me in most of the star trek and star wars theme movies. the rest is just gravy...
