Description

Returning to my Jeannie Bottle model (created from a lathed path in Strata 3D Pro 3.9). Just another playful test with Vue, really. I wound up doing more post work than I had intended. Mostly to soften the dunes, add a little sand flow around the spheres, punch up the smoke, and adjust the levels. Oh, and add a lot of noise to the foreground to simulate sand grit. Again, just an experiment. I really need to move on to other models...

I don't recall Jeanie having a sphere. Wouldn't that make her reflection look fat? I really dig that glow in the bottle's shadow. I wonder if a wave effect on that particular area would strengthen its hold on the sand. I also like the texture on the bottle itself, as it seems untouchably perfect.

Jeannie could blink and make her reflection thin ;-) Hmmmm. A slight wave effect under the bottle shadow/glow on the sand? Hmmmmm. Think I'll try that! The bottle texture is the standard Red Cathedral Glass that ships with Vue. I added the gold rings in Vue, too. The bottle just needed some extra glitter.

hmm..serendipity..I did a genie bottle in Strata as well, though not understanding the lathe effect, wound up with a buncha glued-together primitives..;) yours is by far the better work..great work on the textures..keep it up.

This is a lovely rendering. The reflections are interesting and the terrain is certainly more realistic than I've been able to achieve in Bryce. I'll have to look into Vue. Wonderful!

Very Nice Touch With The Smoke! It Looks Like A Hidden Treasure In The Desert. Excellent!

Very nice playing with reflections. Love it. Your edges of the dunes are softer than mine ;-)
