Eeeee....okay, they'll be beautiful butterflies some day. But right now, they look kinda creepy and crawly, and this shot gives a whole lot of impression of movement. Creeping and crawling....

All I know is smaller f stop gathers less light but longer shutter time gathers more light. Then it is like squinting to get depth of field. The iris is controlled by the anus. (Tell this to your girl friend to get looks of astonishment!) Budget discussions are always welcome.
