Description
Another one from the vaults! This was created as a large poster for a tradeshow booth, where the image was VERY impressive at 37 x 57 inches. It was also used in brochures and a postcard.
The man is the base Nude Male Poser 4 figure exported as a 3DS and then imported into Strata. Textures and rendering accomplished in Strata 3D Plus 3.5. Settings: Raytracing (best) with 4 reflections and 9 pixel oversampling -- it took a long time to render, but it was worth it. Extensive Post work in Photoshop 6.
This image was VERY well received. I knew it was good, but I had no idea that it would garner such a strong reaction from people until the owner of the print shop that output the large poster for the tradeshow actually came by my office to ask me to do some similar work for his company. A very gratifying visit, I must say.
