Description
Yes, the best is yet to come, of that I have no doubt. This world is awesome, even with all it's troubles, heartache and pain. The laughter we share, a soft hand on our shoulder when we are sad and down, a call from an old friend, winning a jackpot, eating a Texas steak at the Tower of the Americas... all wonderful...but this is a temporary place for a temporary time...and we can't even conceive of how magnificant it is going to be. God be with you all...and peace.

Steve .... you never cease to amaze me, my good man .... you have the heart of a lion and the spirit of a dove .... tough love .... I honestly do feel sad for the youth of today, that they did not grow up in a time and place like you and I did .... such a difference .... I guess it's gone? .... not enough old fogeys wanna' fight for it enough to bring it back I'm afraid? .... PEACE to you and your loved ones .... Wish I'd have met you years earlier, but wouldn't trade what time we do have for anything.... take care .... brian.
Thanks brian..I think maybe they just haven't grown up yet...some don't even have a clue til the're 40...but one day we will all have time to sit and share, laugh and remember the silliness we thought was serious at the time. I really believe most do their best, and it's hard to get angry at folks who do their best, even if they are mistaken. And boy am I proud of those youguns in Iraq...reminds me of me when turned 21 in Vietnam and thought I was a man. Young and dumb...you know the rest. Take care buddy...and cya.
Looking forward to the marriage super of the Lamb! Revelation 19 9Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' " And he added, "These are the true words of God." Thank you Steve for posting another great reminder of our future hope

C.S. Lewis called this earth the "Shadowlands"... for anything good here is just the merest shadow of the true, real, quintessential wonder that God originally meant it to be, and we will see things as the truly are and experience the FULL majesty of all God's wonders and delights when these short days in shadow are through. I've got my fork, and I can hardly wait. Thanks, Steve, for a terrific metaphor.
Maranatha...come Lord Jesus...I can hardly wait to see the River of Life! [];^)
