Description

Inspired by Star Wars Special Edition in which George Lucas recreated the Effects he was unhappy with. So I recreated the effects for Star Trek The Original Series. I hope you like it. The scene was created in Bryce 5.0, the Enterprise was from Scfi-Modles.com model by and Thanks to Jason

yeah..the original was bent, broken, and you could see stars through it..;) The original damaged starship was an actual plastic model, commercially available at the time (built one, meself..;) The doomsday weapon bears a slight resemblance to Babylon 5..coincidence?..;) great work..

Quite possibly the best episode in TOS with the exception of the episode where the three big guys go back in time to stop Mccoy from changing history and the TIme Guardian.

When DS9 did their time travel one back to TOS, I was surpised that 'they' didn't see how good the new effects worked and re-released TOS episodes with new effects. Send this to Paramount!

I still think "Balance of Terror" with Mark Lenard (spock's Dad later) playing a cloaked Romulan commander was THE best trek episode, but I agree this one ranks in the top 5. (Yes, I'm a trek nerd...) You've done a good job with composition here, looks very nice.

Super work! I like your enhanced Doomsday Machine, a little more like the orginal concept by Norman Spinrad, instead of foil over chicken wire :)

The original always looked like the snack food "Bugals" to me. Good work
