Description

Thanks for the new word, Lejimi. I think that translates as something like GIZMO. Correct? OK, this is a view of the front/back of the building avec des Schmilblicks. ;-) The dark bar at the bottom is the top of the gate. The thing that looks like a garage door is on the 2nd floor of the building. Could not see any openings on the 1st/ground floor. Only evidence of habitation was a hose with water dribbling from it. You can see a few more of the Schmilblicks/Schmilblicken? on the roof now. Roof is flat. No features except the collection of . . . Schmilblicks. Front of house/other side has about 4 of those odd doors. No ground-level openings we could see, but the trees, etc. were very thick. More to come. . . Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

I don't know exactly what a Gizmo is, but I think you are right : it must look quite like a schmilblick (schmilblick comes from an old classic radio game : you had to guess what was an object you couldn't see. Before answering, you could ask one question, using the word "schmilblick" instead of "mystery object" Ex : "can I put the the schmilblick in my pocket ? " The word is quite famous in France because of the humorist Coluche who made a very funny parody of this game) About the schmilblicks on the roof, I would say these are strange grass ornaments on a strange garden ;-) (ornaments seems right to me because of the small devil and fir trees)

They are full-size 'chimney pots' and roof pinnacles from somewhere. Still trying to get some details on this place. It is/was a residence, but someone seems to have outgrown collecting thimbles and souvenir spoons to collecting actual bits of buildings -- roof details anyhow. Closest I've ever seen anything like this is Hammond Castle near Gloucester, MA.
