Free at last
Free of that wretched hell
Free...
But still...
Still a prisoner...
Still in prison

Been a while since I did a lightwave image... I think it shows.
This image was intended to be positive... in a darkish way, but its meaning to me changed, even though it's only been 2 days since I made it. it was meant to be just about being free of an old prison. but then, you realise, that even though you are out of your cell... you are still inside your prison

as far as criticism goes, i don't want to hear anything technical. i know it sucks to a very great degree. instead, try to go back to the good old days when it wasn't all about achieving supreme realism and it was more about conveying a meaning to a viewer.

Well.. I think it's very good, but then again, I love everything you make and this is no exception. Well done in both the meaning and the image, the meaning shows well in the image :)
oh yeah, i forgot to say, the dude is the default Poser 5 dude, and you can see a couple holes in his shadow because i got so annoyed at having a 23k poly figure slow my cpu so much that i basically cut his face off and made any relatively flat surfaces completely flat (ie. 1 ngon) until it was down to 10-13k which i was okay with
Good to see you back, or is it, good that you got out, lol. Either way, intersesting concept and well executed.
one of your more simple images...but it fits with what your wrote, which causes it to say a lot. I like how you have the shadow flowing into the cell, it is that "ralization" that you are still inside of your own prison. Good to see you mucking with 3d again, bro. :)
I was going to get technical :oP ... but I think that as far as the mood is concerned a bit more contrast in the lighting would deliver more of an impact to your message. Just a suggestion. :o)
