Description
Just needed a place to get away to, so I made one. Original piece said it would take 477 hours to render. A bit to long. After rendering some things by themselves and working with the objects and textures in the picture, it still took over 17 hours. I added the princess using photoshop and did some post work. Hope you like it. Leave comments if you have time. Thanks.

It is an awesome scene. I guess the rendertime is worth it. Your patience paid off.
Awesome work!
A magical scene, and well worth the time you've invested in it. You'd never be able to tell that you segued in the princess character it's done so well. Beautiful and a superb work! :)
Lovely setting and light. Very well done.
Beautiful image, fer'sur worth the wait.
wow! absolutely beautiful in so many ways. The small vegetation composition along with the lighting is wonderful. The tree bridge is an excellent addition and makes the scene feel very natural
nice, but I don't get why it takes so much time to render, it shouldn't, what system are u running on?
Just breath taking!! Pure Beauty!
Excellent scene with fine detail on the little island. Well done!
I'm running on a 1.5Ghz PC with 1Gig of memory and 10,000 RPM SCSI hard drives. I don't know why it said it would take so long either. When I took the princess out and lower the res on the landscapes it seemed to help. Got it down to over 17 hours. At that point it had a little over 20 million faces (over 26 million with the princess). As best I can tell the render time also had to do with the water plane. In order to get the right glow and reflextions I had to make it fairly transparent. I also have blurred reflextions. - Bob

It was definitely worth the long render. You have a great deal more patience than I do. I love the soft lighting. Beautiful work!
