Description

Two pillars stand silent over the plains; beneath them the final gateway out of the empire. Initially they were designed as observation posts, but there remoteness meant they were pretty useless if an invading army was coming. They were sealed permanently after this was realised. Now they stand silent as a testament to the scale and power of the Empire. Well what can I say? background in Terragen, Foreground in Lightwave, sky and lighting adjusted in Photoshop. The scene rendered pretty fast on my ageing PC at 2000x1400. If you look closely you will see a horse and two tents in the foreground.

I have been thinking and thinking, and I don't like the colours very much. I think I will redo it.

I like the epic scale of this... my only comment would be to weather things a bit and make it older looking to better compliment your "story". Fantastic modeling clean and simple, but very effective! :o)
