Great work on this, Mel! Excellent mood produced with those sombre tones, and the blazing valley behind him not only adds a good contrast to the character, but also hints at a larger story. Well done, looking forward to your next efforts!

What a wonderful portrait from LOTR although just when I think I've seen enough of such art to last me a lifetime - someone like you comes up with a real winner - something that touches my senses with pure impact. I think it's the background in this and the fact that you did a full figure rather than just the head and shoulders. Truly a splendid job Mel and a definite vote!
