The New Frontier!
The moon Shuttle/Lander USS Arthur C. Clarke as it comes around from the dark side of the moon sees a familiar object that gives the crew a sense of peace and awe, Earth looms in the distance, floating like an oasis in a vast sea of black sprinkled with diamonds. This was actually a test image that I was doing to see how I would light a model of earth in the background. I don

Very nice!!!
I absolutely love this model. I don't think Bryce had this in mind when they first developed their software...but I'm sure they are happy now!
I have said it before and I'll say it again,.....your images are superb. They are reminicent of Robert McCall's work for NASA in the 1960's and 70's.
If I did not know any better, I would say that this was a snap shot of the real thing!
I hear you on the "dull" issue. When I find myself in that position I do something different ... I go fishing.
Wonderful image! Excellent work.
I can't understand why anyone could call them dull. I love them and really people should look at the skill involved regards modelling and as you mentioned realism. It's your passion so do what you do, you'll get no complaints from me!
Keep on being 'dull' .... nice image!
Dull? what can be dull about being in space (even in the imagination). It is what it is and that's ay you show it. Keep doing it.
Please don't change, your work is stunning.
Your work is simply amazing. And there is no matter of dullness. Your choose to be realistic, according to the human actual technology and it's perfectly done. Moreover, some of your planet pics are really bright and colorfull. Keep on !
Dull!?? How can your work be called dull? Looking at your work is the next best thing to being there. Please don't change your style of working. Thank you for another great image.
"Don't go changing, to try and please them, we love them just the way they are, oooo-oohhhh." Thank you, thank you very much, I'm here all week. Dull is not a word that springs to mind. Realistic, wonderful, super, incredible.....
Dull is another stack of Poser faeries, pin-ups and fantasy warriors, unless there is talent, vision and emotion behind them. Your work is very much appreciated and I applaud your modeling skills, your bid for realism and your obvious passion for astronomy and the dream of space flight. Another wonderful image!
It is nice to now see the lander on a mission. The rigorous realism of your work makes it special. Don't feel bad just because a few others can't see how cool your spaceships really are. You are definitely following in Robert McCall's footsteps. He is one of my SF art heroes. Keep following your heart in your 3D CGI work and you will be a hero of mine too! :-)
David, your work is amazing...Have you ever though of making some nice pink and purple space ships and maybe a Vicki or two in see thru space suits? LOL.... Screw the critics Bro...follow your heart..
Nothing dull about it. You have an eye for doing the realistic stuff.
