Description
Taken with the hot, sexy and awesome Nikon Coolpix 5700.
What you are looking at is the male flower of a traditional Cypriot pumpkin and yes, they really look that good!
Up the top corner is what these pumpkins look like when they're finished. In case you're wondering about size and weight, that particular one was about a foot long and weighed 2kg or so :)
Biiiiiiiiiiiiig things I tell ya.
As far as growth goes, the thing is more like an infestation than anything else. Since Christmas when we planted it, it has grown to cover probably around 4-5 square meters and the end chutes are growing 5-10cm daily.
I'll try to get you a photo of the female flowers too if I see any good ones because they're really interesting. The pumkin grows almost vertically upwards, and then at the end of the pumpkin grows the flower. Kind of like a crown heheh
by the way, original resolution was 2574 x 1922, but i had to size it down for obvious reasons. first it's too big for anyone to view it fully on any screen, and it's 430kb, which is a bit much
anyway, let me know what you think :)
i'm only just starting to learn how to use a photo camera heheh i'm still too used to the crispiness and clarity of 3D renders :)

Beautiful flower on that thing. I'd never heard of this sort of pumpkin before (I thought pumpkins were round) :). The color of the flower is nice, vivid. I'm glad to see you posting and as usual, trying something new. :) I look forward to more photos from you.
Beautiful, I've never seen a pumkin flower until you showed me. i love you handsome :)
Interesting color in the flower. Excellent post :o).
