Description
Continue my study on reflection and refraction of watery surfaces. In this one pic I have used three directional lights to get the reflections. Therefore I have planned the water material in this way: the highlight global intensity to 20800 and its size to 152%, the transparency to 80%, its blurred 2.0, refraction index to 0.96, all the rest as default. Overall it's important the angle position of the camera and directional lights ( that must be in opposition to the camera of course).

What a formula! It worked, Luigi, the water is gorgeous!
This looks as real as one can make water look. Excellent job with this image. :o) quote..."the highlight global intensity to 20800 and its size to 152%, the transparency to 80%, its blurred 2.0, refraction index to 0.96...." end quote. I have tryed to duplicate the settings but I am not having any luck with it. I am confused where you get the global intensity set to 20800 and its size to 152%.
Wow, looks quite perfect. I am very impressed and will try that out as well. But this looks really really fantastic, bravo.
beautiful beautiful water it certainly looks slow and very real this is a mighty fine accomplishment ..bravo raffy
Excellent, thanks for the information! it is appreciated.
Excellent job! One improvement: Make the rocks near the water look a little wet.
Well done on getting the light to reflect on the water while still maintaining the transparency.
thats awesome! ive been trying to achieve that effect of water glistenings for awhile. thanks for sharing your technique
Very well done ! the water is amazing !!!
That looks fantastic!!! Really beautiful, Luigi!
Thanks for comments to everybody. Iloco@: all the setting was made in material editor on highlight and transparency sections, but, as I already told the thing more important is to set the camera and directional lights algle. The goal is here!
The foreground reflections are superb. Excellent job!
Wow! The water looks amazingly realistic. Bravo! :)))
Wonderful! The material work on the water is outstanding and very inspiring. Top notch.
Fantastic image and textures , well done:-)
Nice! The water looks excellent! Very realistic, as does the terrain material. I agree with Daron Kel though that the line where water meets land needs some attention.
Very nice and quite realistic. Kudos!
The water and land textures are wonderful! Beautiful.
Excellent texturing and water! Very well done!!
absolute great naturalism!!!
absolute Fantastic image
